Accessing live chat is both convenient and secure. Here are some of the features and benefits:
  • Convenient: Simply click the chat icon to connect with us - no need to install any software or download an app.
  • Real-time assistance: Connect with us instantly during our business hours - the same friendly staff you're accustomed to helping on the phone or in person will be same people answering our chat. 
  • Available across our digital channels:  Access the chat from our website and mobile apps.
  • Secure: Tools like co-browsing and screen sharing allow our staff to guide members through complex processes in real-time, while ensuring information on the member's device remains safe and protected.
  • After-hours messaging:  No need to wait until tomorrow morning to ask your question.  Leave us a message in the chat, and our staff will respond to your inquiry the next business day, ensuring continuous support.

  • Desktop:  Just click the green chat bubble in the bottom right hand corner of our website or Online Banking.
  • Mobile App:  Before login, click on the chat bubble in the bottom right.  After login, find the Chat under 'More' > 'Contact' > 'Chat' (iOS only).
  • Available during business hours, Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, chat is available from the login screen from both our iOS and Android Mobile Apps.  Once you are logged into online banking (iOS devices only), you can access the chat feature by clicking 'More" > 'Contact' > 'Chat'.
No, this is a live chat feature.  Every chat will be with one of our friendly staff that you know and trust.
Our staff will respond to chats during regular business hours, Monday-Friday from 8:30am-4:30pm with the exception of statutory holidays.
Yes!  Even though our staff will not respond immediately outside of business hours, you are still able to send us messages during that time.  The conversation will be reviewed when we open again, and one of our staff will connect with you at that time.
Co-browsing allows you to go through either a document or a webpage together with one of our staff.  This can be particularly helpful if you are having issues with your Mobile App or Online Banking as our staff can see exactly what you see on your screen and help troubleshoot the issue.
Members are always encouraged to be cautious when it comes to screen sharing.  You should only share your screen with a trusted service provider.  We have many layers of safeguards in place on our end to ensure our environment is secure - but the chat should only be accessed directly from our website, www.unitycu.ca or your Mobile App.
