Unity Credit Union is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and self-motivated Janitor to join our team. This is a permanent, part-time position averaging 14-20 hours per week and offers the opportunity to contribute to a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our members, employees, and community. Position Description: Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Janitor is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and safety of Unity Credit Union and Aviso Wealth offices. Working independently, you will perform routine cleaning and facility upkeep while helping maintain a professional environment for employees, members, and visitors.

• Clean and sanitize washrooms, offices, reception areas, boardrooms, staff rooms, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and maintain floors and other surfaces throughout the facility.
• Empty garbage and recycling receptacles and replenish washroom and cleaning supplies.
• Clean interior glass, windows, partitions, and doors.
• Perform periodic deep cleaning activities to maintain a professional and welcoming environment.
• Conduct routine inspections and report maintenance concerns promptly.
• Maintain janitorial equipment and cleaning supply inventories.
• Assist with ordering and organizing cleaning materials and supplies.
• Help maintain building entrances and surrounding property free of litter and debris.
  
• Follow building security and lock-up procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow workplace health and safety practices and safe handling procedures.

Qualifications: The successful candidate will have completed Grade 12 with previous janitorial, custodial, facility maintenance, or commercial cleaning experience considered an asset but not required. The successful candidate must display strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness as well as the physical ability to perform routine cleaning duties, including lifting, bending, standing, and operating cleaning equipment.
