“Partnering to achieve success and build a better community” is at the heart of what we do.
Flourishing, vibrant, and diverse communities don’t just happen, they are built over time by people, organizations, and business that work together for the common good. These are the foundations in which credit union and co-operative values were built on.
Please keep in mind:
- Applications for Sponsorships & Donations are accepted year-round.
- Applications can be filled out and returned via email, in the mail, or in person. If an organization has its own sponsorship request letter, that can be submitted in place of filling out the application form. Just keep in mind our Marketing team may reach out with further questions.
- Typically, 1 – 2 weeks are required for us to decide on applications under $500. Requests beyond that may need additional approvals and considerations.
- Previous support by Unity Credit Union does not guarantee approval of your application and not all eligible requests can be funded.
What we can support:
While we'd love to help everyone who asks, it's not that simple. Unity Credit Union focuses on the areas that best fit our vision, mission, and values. Support is considered in the following areas:
- Community fundraisers (Unity Credit Union organizations/members only. This support is to help with efforts to raise funds and is not a donation)
- Community festivals, celebrations, and awards
- Sports events and teams • Community and economic development
- Health care causes
- Youth and education
We’re sorry, but we cannot support:
- Individual or private business applicants
- Political parties and affiliated groups, organizations, or activities
- Religious groups, organizations, or activities
- Advocacy organizations whose causes are publicly controversial
- Organizations or projects whose benefits are national, provincial or outside the geographic area in which the Unity Credit Union serves
