Unity Credit Union is actively involved in supporting the community by sponsoring events, making donations, holding contests and promotions, supplying volunteers and actively participating in community events.  


Each year, Unity Credit Union selects two high school graduates to receive scholarships of $2000 to assist with tuition fees. 

Junior Board Member Program

Every year, Unity Credit Union's Board of Directors reserves two positions for Jr. Board Members to be an active participant at Board meetings.  Positions are available for one Grade 11 student and one Grade 12 student, and they are remunerated for each meeting they attend in the form of a scholarship towards their post-secondary education.

Donations and Sponsorships in 2020


Sponsorships and donations involve financial and/or in-kind contributions (i.e. staff time, donation of equipment, provision of office space) to local events or organizations.  Preference is given to charitable and non-profit events and organizations.

The credit union may consider sponsorships and donations in the following areas: communtiy economic development, youth and education, visible minorities, health and human services, agriculture, arts and culture, professional or amateur sport, or co-operative development.
