Tax Free Savings Account (TFSA)

TFSAs were introduced by the federal government to encourage people to save, tax free. Using after tax dollars (i.e. your take home money after deductions), you can invest up to $5,500 per year (subject to CRA limits) in a TFSA plan. Unused contribution amounts can be carried forward.  TFSAs are allowed to grow tax free and are available in a variety of deposit options to suit your needs.

Best of all, you can withdraw this money from your plan without a tax penalty. A TFSA should be part of almost anyone's financial portfolio since it is a great solution for a variety of purposes. Read on to see why!
