We're Here for You

UPDATE Expand/Collapse

November 19, 2020

Please be advised, that as per the Government of Saskatchewan announcement, masks will now be mandatory when entering Unity Credit Union.  We appreciate your co-operation.

May 19, 2020

Now that the Re-Open Saskatchewan Plan is underway, we want to inform our members of our plans to re-open Unity Credit Union.  On behalf of our Board and staff, we would like to thank our members for their patience working with us through closed doors over the past couple months.  We want to continue to do what we can to reduce the spread of COVID-19, while continuing to serve the needs of our members.  Therefore, we will be opening our doors very cautiously, and with strict physical distancing guidelines in place.  We will continue to monitor the situation, and make changes and adapt our plans as appropriate and as outlined by government and health regulations.

WE ARE NOW OPEN, BUT WITH A FEW CHANGES

Starting Tuesday, May 19, 2020, Unity Credit Union will open its doors to the public.  However, the following measures will be in place to ensure the health and safety of our staff and members:
  • PHYSICAL DISTANCING: All members must maintain a distance of 6 feet at all times while waiting in line.  Please only proceed to the next circle when it becomes available—one person per circle.
  • MEMBER CAPACITY: There will be a limited number of members allowed in the branch at a time.
    • ATM Lobby: 2 people maximum
    • Branch Lobby: 7 members at a time
  • SANITATION:  Before entering, you MUST use the hand sanitizer provided at the entrance.
  • ADDITIONAL CLEANING:  Each station will be disinfected between members.  Please be patient and stay back while our staff clean the area.

ONLY VISIT THE BRANCH WHEN NECESSARY

For your safety and ours, we continue to ask that you only visit us in person when necessary.  When you do, please maintain physical distancing and use the hand sanitizer provided.  We recommend that each household designate one person to come in to do financial transactions, and that all paperwork is ready for your transaction when you arrive.  If you are not feeling well, or have recently travelled, do NOT visit Unity Credit Union.  Call us, and we can make arrangements with you to conduct your business.

In addition, we are not taking in-person appointments at this time.  Please continue to call us to make arrangements to meet virtually with your adviser.

We continue to encourage members to use and access our many remote and electronic banking options as much as possible, including our ATM, Night Deposit, Online Banking, Mobile App, remote cheque depositing service (Deposit  Anywhere), Interac® e-Transfer service, Telephone and Skype calls, and DocuSign to electronically sign your documents.  For more information on how to use our digital banking services, contact us by calling 306.228.2688.

FINANCIAL RELIEF OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE

We know many members have faced financial hardship during this pandemic, and there is still a lot of unknowns about the future.  If you are experiencing financial hardship or instability due to the COVID-19 situation, we encourage you to call us at 306.228.2688, or call your Account Manager directly.  We have options available for you, and our staff will work with you to find a solution that best meets your individual needs.

WE'LL ALWAYS BE THERE.

UPDATE: March 25, 2020 Expand/Collapse

March 25, 2020

We know our members are concerned about the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation – we are too.  In response to heightened concerns about COVID-19, Unity Credit Union has announced a number of proactive measures to protect employees and members, while still maintaining service for our members.

We want our members to know that even in these difficult times, we are here for you – just in a different way than before.  We encourage our members to continue to use electronic methods of banking as much as possible, but please call us at 306.228.2688 for any other questions or concerns.  Our staff are committed to working with you and for you to find the best solutions, unique to each member’s current situation.

CHANGES TO OUR SERVICE DELIVERY
On Monday, March 23, 2020, we made the difficult decision to close our doors to the public to limit face-to-face contact for our staff.  Even though our doors are closed, we are still here for you.  Our staff are still working, and we are committed to finding ways to meet your needs.  We encourage members to call us at 306.228.2688 if they need any assistance, or have any questions.

Additionally, because many credit unions across Canada have closed their doors to the public, our CU Connect service has been suspended until further notice.  Members can still access our credit union ATM network coast-to-coast, but for the time being, will not be able to utilize alternate credit union branches to do banking transactions.  We apologize for this inconvenience.

PROTECTING OUR STAFF
As another precautionary measure, starting Monday, March 23, 2020, we have minimized the amount of staff working in our building at one time.  With 36 employees, we felt this was necessary to protect our staff by limiting their exposure with other people at work.  We are taking this day-by-day, but have a schedule in place to ensure member service will not be interrupted due to this change.

FINANCIAL RELIEF OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE
We know the current situation is not easy, and the uncertainty of how long it will last is concerning for our members.  If you are experiencing financial hardship or instability due to the COVID-19 situation, we encourage you to call us at 306.228.2688, or call your Account Manager directly.  We have options available for you, and our staff can work with you to find a solution that best meets your individual needs.

DEPOSITS ARE 100% GUARANTEED
Deposits held in Saskatchewan Credit Unions are fully guaranteed through the Credit Union Deposit Guarantee Corporation (CUDGC).  Your deposits are safe and will always be repaid, no matter how large or small the dollar amount.  This means that even in these uncertain times, your money on deposit with Unity Credit Union is safe.  Rest assured that you will never lose a cent—guaranteed.  This includes your chequing accounts, savings accounts, registered plans, term deposits, and any accrued interest.  You can read more about CUDGC by visiting their website: https://www.cudgc.sk.ca/ and their
