Summer Student (Member Service Representative)

You have a curiosity for banking and commerce, and are eager to learn from the pros. You genuinely enjoy people, and build relationships moment by moment, one conversation at a time. Trustworthy and bright, members are delighted to see you starting the first leg of your career journey as a Summer Student Member Service Representative at Unity Credit Union.

Under the guidance of the Manager of Member Service, you will:
  • Learn transaction and cash handling skills including operating a cash drawer;
  • Acquire member service skills - Listen to and recognize member’s needs, and assist members in utilizing the products and services which best meet their needs;
  • Build your resume with experience as a bonded employee in a reputable financial services institution;
  • Round out your resume with volunteering opportunities;
  • Make money and learn how to save it;
  • Learn about co-operatives, credit unions, and small business.

Hours: This is a temporary summer term position. Scheduling of work will be determined by the immediate manager to the position. Hours may fluctuate.

Qualifications: Completion of Grade 12, strong communication skills, and enthusiasm for learning are essential to the success of the position.
